This is very ominous scene, Willow.
I love how you take us to this beautiful place, and then send a chill down upon us. :) Nicely penned.
It must be the lack of oxygen from the climb. However I agree going back down is something to dread! A beautifully compact piece.

i like the sense of reaching, going on that climb, being awed; i too wanted to remain there much love...
