I have pondered birds
how they can live all alone
as altogether so they seem
then I realized so do we
Keep to ourselves
we are altogether all alone
we don't make eye contact
we isolate as we run
for some supper

ReplyDeleteBoy oh boy, do I know this feeling. Altogether alone. So many situations I find myself in where I thought there would be warmth and comradarie I find myself alone instead. Beautiful poem of an phenomenon that is true to the end.
