Fish

I pole through life

wish for a catch

a place just right for

some semblance of

peace

I scale glittering

just beneath the edge

the worm in my teeth

I spit it out

peace

I cast and reel life

wish for a catch

a tug on my line

some love

peace

Fish undulate

under sea glitter

my pole arches

the fight is on

to reel it in

Big fish on heady

is it the one

the only one finally

to reel me in
