Visit

In my hometown
the indigenous 
are downtrodden
otherwise bloated
with self-importance

Their significance
unequal
one inferior
one superior

Not different
in intention
same rituals
string together

Both have demons
to beat the system
one sustenance
one elaborate

They will never
visit
