Billy Collins
read Lanyard
perfect tribute
to his mother

I heard him read
he signed his book
we smiled eye to eye
he let me go

Painter with words
he might have brushed
what he was saying

  1. Beautiful, Willow!
What a gift it must have been to hear him read...and for him to sign your book.

  9. Fabulous! And we have shared an experience. I, too, met with and listened to Billy Collins. I was even lucky enough to share a luncheon table with him and his wife. THAT was a gift!
