Above the clouds that
reflect back street lights
a meteor shower
not able to sleep, maybe
those bombarding meteors
I look out the window at
clouds and too much light
get a glass of water and as
I pass the window, I see
a round, bright orange spot
in the sky, a huge meteor
I guess, if I want it to be

Thanks to Mary I think I've finally figured out how to post a message on your poetry blog Diane. What a light show you observed! I'd heard about it as I switched channels on the TV (what's going on in the skies in Florida?) but never heard what exactly it was. Great poem!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane. I came here to see if you had recently posted on your blog. Although I don't see anything recent, I enjoyed reading over the poems I'd read before. Hope you'll begin sharing here again. I love this one about your light show.
