No One

No One

There is no one
but we
on this journey

it is different
when it is a parent
as opposed to

a spouse is
someone who is
who is here

there is no one
but me
on this journey

  3. Yes, Willow, I get it. Such a subtle shift from the "we" in the first stanza to the "me" in your last stanza. Love and Hugs to you both.

  4. A journey of discovery best accomplished alone. Even if it's as simple as going to the library. Nicely Willow!

  7. I know the feeling. Sometimes we need to go it alone though because it makes us stronger, but I still don't wish it on anyone. Great writing.

  9. What an incredible poem. I know my father-in-law shares these feelings. Should be "we". You said it perfectly.

  10. Short and sincere. Heartfelt love shines through words. A parent is much different than a spouse.
