It Is A Circus

It is A Circus

Out there…on the road
lives scream around you
swerve past

some stay behind
go slow

Out there…on your path
life screams around you
swerves past

  1. This reminds me of rush hour on the expressway, Willow. I'm somewhere in the middle, not swerving past or going slow. If this is synonymous of life, I would say the same thing.

  2. You are on a roll with your poems, Willow. Life screams around you but some of it is slower paced (thank goodness!). Lots of metaphors here for life.

  3. This seems to me to talk again about how we are alone on that path. A lot in this one--more each time I read it.
