Bad Date

Shape of his mouth
flitting over mine
pepper kisses
smother me
I fight for air inhaling
silent in the shade
copper color sands
whirl as I surface
in haze no grace

  5. I've had these suffocating kisses (barely remembered until I read this).

  6. Brought back a long-suppressed memory, Willow, but my memory is laced with his breath of Chivas Regal Scotch.

  7. Like the ending of this one: "in haze no grace". Kisses should always have a taste of grace in them. Your use of "pepper" was most appropriate.

  8. It does indeed sound like a bad date. In haze no grace is perfect here. I remember these kinds of dates.
